Inter Turku Come From Behind Twice to Secure Conference League Play-Off Spot

Inter Turku moved to within one round of the UEFA Conference League (UECL) League Phase after battling to a 2-2 draw away to Vaduz, securing a 4-3 aggregate victory in a dramatic second-leg encounter in Liechtenstein.
Vaduz 2-2 Inter Turku (3-4 on aggregate)
Holding a 2-1 advantage from the first leg, Inter Turku knew avoiding defeat against the Liechtenstein Cup winners would be enough to secure their third major European tie victory of the summer. That represented a remarkable turnaround after they had failed to win any of their previous eight European ties.
However, Vaduz made a fast start and took the lead in the fourth minute. Dominik Schwizer provided the assist for Denis Simani, who found the net to bring the tie level on aggregate.
Inter Turku responded quickly, restoring parity less than 10 minutes later. Alie Conteh picked out Jasse Tuominen, who calmly finished to score his second goal of the competition and put the Finnish side back in front on aggregate.
The second half followed a similar pattern to the opening period, with Vaduz restoring their lead within the first 10 minutes to make it 3-3 on aggregate. However, Inter Turku once again showed their resilience and responded with another equaliser.
In the 76th minute, Prosper Ahiabu, who scored the decisive goal in the first leg in Turku, played a key role again by setting up Alie Conteh. The forward finished emphatically to put Inter Turku back in front on aggregate and secure their place in the Conference League play-off round.
The Finnish side now face a difficult two-legged test against Danish giants FC Copenhagen, with a place in the UEFA Conference League League Phase at stake.
